California was an amazing time. it was the first time I had DJ'ed in my own hometown San Francisco since 5 years. I've been back a bunch of times, but never had the opportunity to spin anywhere. I had a few moments to see all my closest homies and my parents. The Bay really treated me like I never left.
In Los Angeles, I spun in Hollywood and even did an opening DJ set for Dwele. Now that was really dope! The weather was nice and the one thing I miss is driving with the windows down and the music blasting. That sounds really Californian-ish, but it's true. (I went to the Venice Beach too) I guess I never really appreciate it until I left to take subways and taxi's for 5 years in cold ass weather.
Either way, California will always be in my heart, but New York City is my new home. People always ask me how I feel about living here and if I ever think about coming back to California. I say that New York City is like my new girlfriend and I don't think about leaving her anytime soon.
Until next time.
